Our History

National Direct Media started in Cleburne Texas in 1967, as Marshall Advertising Agency. Founder, Frank Abt began serving clients such as FrigiKing, Chambers Ranges, Harris Electric, Holman Boiler Works, Rangaire Corporation, Walls Industries and many more,  with service and placement in yellow pages as well as providing general advertising agency services. In 1972, Joe Potts joined Frank and soon after, Marshall Advertising incorporated as National Yellow Page Service.  At that time, becoming one of the very first CMR’s (Certified Marketing Representatives) in the country. The company purchased its first permanent office site in 1972, a converted former private residence located on Main Street in Cleburne, Texas.   Shortly thereafter, NDM hired its third employee Carol Cooper, who is still with the company today. National began to focus its efforts primarily on national yellow pages advertising clients. Growth came quickly and soon thereafter additional space was needed for new personnel.  Subsequently, National moved to Granbury Street in Cleburne, Texas, and built a 5,000 sq. ft. office building. Today, NDM occupies over 10,000 square feet of office space at its’ corporate headquarters. The following months and years have seen steady growth, including numerous business offices located throughout the US.

Joe Potts became the President and CEO in 1992.  We have remained true to our roots when we started in 1967 as being a privately held company. Today, we remain a privately held company. This dictates that National Direct Media must remain totally focused on each of our clients' unique requirements, rather than bowing to the pressures and attention to stockholder's expectations and directives.

NDM is dedicated to delivering excellence through individualized services to each client. This original goal started many years ago still continues today. National Direct Media constantly strives to seek out new technologies, and continually investigates new customer service developments that allow for improvement in quick, accurate and meaningful service to all our clients.

Today, NDM recognizes the ever increasing public interest in searching for needed products and services via the internet. Our organization has for some time, expanded to include Internet Advertising management, (SEM) (Search Engine Marketing) and Internet Yellow pages (IYP).  Still keeping with our original goals, these new innovations help us to develop Internet advertising programs solely focused on the clients’ need for the best advertising Return on Investment (ROI).

National Direct Media remains today one of the top Certified Marketing Representatives (CMR's) in the industry,  and pledges it's continued  focus on delivering top service and excellence to each client.
